Item Description

SCV $20.00 (2014). Sheet of twenty 44-cent stamps commemorating twenty early TV shows in MNH, VF condition. No flaws noted. The die cuts are fully intact (i.e. no separations are noted), the stamps are crisp & their colors are distinct. The stamps depict (in left-to-right, top-to-bottom order) the following early TV shows: Texaco Star Theater (SC #4414a), I Love Lucy (SC #4414b), The Red Skelton Show (SC #4414c), Howdy Dowdy (SC #4414d), Dragnet (SC #4414e), Lassie (SC #4414f), Hopalong Cassidy (SC #4414g), You Bet Your Life (SC #4414h), The Dinah Shore Show (SC #4414i), The Ed Sullivan Show (SC #4414j), Kukla, Fran & Ollie (SC #4414k), The Phil Silvers Show (SC #4414l), The Lone Ranger (SC #4414m), Perry Mason (SC #4414n), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (SC #4414o), Burns & Allen (SC #4414p), Ozzie & Harriet (SC #4414q), The Tonight Show (SC #4414r), The Twilight Zone (SC #4414s) and The Honeymooners (SC #4414t). On the back of each of the stamps a short synopsis of the show is printed for the stamps shown on the front. Plate number 'P1111' is printed horizontally beneath the stamp located at the bottom left-hand corner of the sheet of stamps. Lithographed, self-adhesive, tagged, serpentine die cut 10-3/4 x10-1/2.
