Item Description

SCV $6.50 (2014). Single 1-cent Steamship "City of Alpena" commemorative stamp in MNH, fine condition. The design is scuffed & four perforations are missing gum, otherwise no flaws noted. This stamp is the first in the Pan American Exposition series that was issued in Buffalo, NY in 1901. Flat plate printing, double-line watermark (i.e. Wmk 191), perf 12.
