Item Description

SCV $15.00 (2020). Pane of twenty 29-cent Legends of the West stamps in MNH, VF condition. The pane is in post office fresh condition, so no flaws noted. Perforations are fully intact (i.e. no separations or folds are noted), the stamps are crisp & their colors are bright. This pane is the revised version that depicts the correct version of Bill Pickett. The pane depicts (in left-to-right, top-to-bottom order) the following legends of the West: home on the range (SC #2869a), Buffalo Bill Cody (SC #2869b), Jim Bridger (SC #2869c), Annie Oakley (SC #2869d), Native American culture (SC #2869e), Chief Joseph (SC #2869f), Bill Pickett (SC #2869g), Bat Masterson (SC #2869h), John C. Fremont (SC #2869i), Wyatt Earp (SC #2869j), Nellie Cashman (SC #2869k), Charles Goodnight (SC #2869l), Geronimo (SC #2869m), Kit Carson (SC #2869n), Wild Bill Hickok (SC #2869o), western wildlife (SC #2869p), Jim Beckwourth (SC #2869q), Bill Tilghman (SC #2869r), Sacagawea (SC #2869s) and Overland mail (SC #2869t). A short description appears on the back of each of the stamps. Photogravure, water-activated gum, tagged, perf 10.1 x10.
