SCV $7.50 (2014). Sheet of ten 29-cent stamps commemorating the United States entry Into the Battle in 1942 in MNH, VF condition. No flaws noted. Gum is immaculate & shiny, the sheet (and its stamps) are crisp & their colors are bright. Selvage is attached to the right side of the sheet & at the bottom. The stamps in the sheet depict (in left-to-right, top-to-bottom order) the following events: B-25s take off to raid Tokyo (SC #2697a), ration coupons (SC #2697b), divebomber & deck crew (Battle of the Coral Sea) (SC #2697c), prisoners of war (Corregidor falls to the Japanese) (SC #2697d), Dutch Harbor buildings on fire (Japanese attack the Aleutian Islands) (SC #2697e), headphones & coded messages (US deciphers Japanese code) (SC #2697f), USS Yorktown lost (US wins at Midway) (SC #2697g), woman with drill (women join the war effort) (SC #2697h), Marines land on Guadalcanal (SC #2697i) and Allies land in North Africa (SC #2697j).
