TYPESET OFFICIAL SEAL RARITY: complete sheet of four (two tete-beche pairs, one w dot); 1894? Typeset Morrill Issue, (Scott #LOX11 sheet with ONE LOX11c), USED complete pane, canceled with Blue lines and a small bit of "Registered" handstamp in UR corner, some light flaws on reverse, rouletting slightly "telescoped" at bottom, couple light stains, THIS IS THE ONLY USED PANE I KNOW OF & it is CATALOUGED AS SINGLES, therefore very undercataloged, VF centering and an amazing find!!!

The seals are setting six as per Kotanchik. Before he died, he proposed a new numbering sequence to correct the errors in Scott and calls these LOX25c (it is confusing that he uses the same prefix as Scott). In his book he notes Used off cover seals must have unmistakable evidence of use such as a cancel or other notation . . . This sheet passes the test in my opinion, as it has a bit of a POSTAL MARKING IN THE UR CORNER. It's not huge but CLEARLY in postal ink. There are some additional portions of seals on reverse pointing to a usage on large registered package that was damaged in transit and repaired with several panes. Despite what Kotanchik says about ms cancels, he shows a ms tied LOX11 on page 212 in his book. It is regarded as beyond question (it has a good PF cert). If you want to see this cover search LOX11 on Hip. You will also see the cert. No matter how difficult it is to back these up with ms cancels, I regard this as genuine and back it with my own assurance.
