Item Description

In 1988, the US Postal Service began selling UNFOLDED booklet panes to collectors through the cave in Kansas City. The practice lasted from the 25 cent Special Occasions booklet pane, Scott 2396a, through to the 32 cent Garden Flowers issue, Scott 3029a or for a total of eight years. The publishers of the Scott catalog have placed a small premium on many of these booklet panes and specialists enjoy collecting the different marginal markings which show the position of the pane in the overall sheet prior to it being cut for inclusion in a booklet. This is the sixth of ten lots to feature five or six of these unfolded booklet panes. Each lot contains different booklet panes from this era. Hope you enjoy them.
