POSTAL CARDS: TWO; both 1c Jefferson; (Scott #UX9), first card cnl Marshalltown Iowa (partly off card), addr Waukegan IL but sent in error to Evanston (canceled as such) with nice "Missent to Evanston Ills" handstamp, card has white void area behind Jefferson's head, second card is sharp and clean usage from Toledo OH to H E Deats in Flemington NJ, forwarded to Hightstown with a large and bold "HIGHTSTOWN N.J." handstamp which goes into the stamp area, Toledo Blade (NEWSPAPER) advertising on reverse, very unusual card, its interesting to note that the card to the well-known stamp dealer does NOT have stamp content but the other card (top one, Evanston) states I have a few Match, Medicine and Playing Card stamps to ex(change) for others . . ., etc, sent by Erastus Cornell in 1889, I believe he was related to Ezra Cornell of Cornell University fame.
