Turkey Newspaper Stamps Lot- SCV $2321. 00 for genuine (P10-P29) - As received in old Scott International Album from a recent auction lot acquisition; Hinged to Minkus quadrille album page and ID'd and priced by lot describer. Scott #s P10-P12, P26-P29, P34, P41, P53-P54, P127, and P148. Lot describer notes that total catalog value for genuine is $2320. The P10-P12 and P26-P29 are most often found to be found as having counterfeited overprints in the market and expertization is recommended for these items. Scott notes that "Counterfeit overprints (of P10-P29) comprise most of the examples offered for sale in the marketplace". The balance of the stamps are likely genuine comprising $193.50 of SCV.
