Hello!This auction is for a complete set of color proof horizontal strips of 3 from the 150th Anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad commemorative issued by the USPS on 5/10/2019 (Scott #5378-5380). These proofs were printed on untagged, self-adhesive stamp paper. The proofs are: offset black, cyan, yellow magenta, a composite proof of all of these colors and gold foil, which was applied in the final step of the printing process. A finished and tagged die-cut strip of 3 is also enclosed.All of the stamps have been cleanly cut from their respective sheets. The scan above represents the stamps that you will receive. (See my other listing for Header strips of 3).In order to ensure that these stamps are not damaged during shipping, they will be shipped between stiff pieces of cardboard as a first-class package with tracking.The USPS describes the production process: "Both the primary design and the gold foil were printed with a single machine, reducing the potential for error and marking another major milestone in the world of stamp production. The included proofs provide a vivid record of every step in that process. The first shows the cyan elements of the design, while the second, third and fourth show those in magenta, yellow and black.
