METER STAMPS: ERRORS AND varieties, THREE, 1950s-1990s, all on legal size envelopes, first is Pitney-Bowes meter w slogan Iowa's Medical Center from the State University, this machine, #324312, has no Town Mark, I am aware these machines could remove the town mark for Registered mail but this is CLEARLY not registered and I have had a couple of these covers before (all from the same Chicago correspondence) and they ALL had the missing town mark, next cover a 1976 Harrisburg PA meter cover (in Light Blue) from the Harrisburg School District, CLEARLY .00 denomination but the envelope was mailed and received, finally a cover from Philadelphia, Mellon Bank correspondence, with Drop Shipment slug inserted upside down, nice invert, rubber stamps on reverse, also ms notation on face, clean and scarce group, Fine-VF.
