Item Description
Seabirds love the Channel Island of Jersey . . and Jersey loves its seabirds! Over 96 stamps of the island nation have portrayed the maritime avians of its waters and shores over the years.This handcolored FDC from 1997 shows three of those species - the Common Tern, the Puffin and the Red-Breasted Merganser. The three stamps are tied by a nice, but tiny, official First Day of Issue pictorial cancel showing a Dunlin.
The reverse bears the Puffin Cachets logo and denotes that this is cover #4 of only 10 serviced.
