COMMEMORATIVE COVERS: THREE covers (or cards), each with a single stamp, (Scott #1246, 1424 & 1460), first is 5c Kennedy on AIRMAIL cover, postage insufficient, sender scratched out Via Air Mail, etc, but postal clerks ignored that and charged 3c Due for airmail (This envelope for Air Mail Use Only), cover is reduced at top into stamp, next is 6c MacArthur tied May 25 1972 to SIP (Society of Israel Philatelists) meeting Post Card, locally addressed in Pittsfield MA, this stamp was issued during the rapid postage increases of the 1970s, the 6c rate was proper for a cover when issued BUT was soon the Post Card rate, quite scarce, finally 6c Olympics on My House of Old Things ppc, tied Ancho NM, UNADDRESSED, second strike of Carrizozo NM (Ancho Rural Stat.) unusual lot, Fine-VF.
