Remember reading the Sunday comics section laying on the floor with your breakfast and stuffed toys? Yeah, me neither -- but it makes a nice cachet image for the 'Sunday Funnies' issue of five 'classic' comic strip stamps - three of which are still being published today.Good friend Lloyd deVries asked me to design a cachet for his Dragon Cards line of FDCs and I was happy to help out.
This 7" x 5" card bears all five stamps in the issue, postmarked on their First Day of Issue with the DCP from Columbus, Ohio - site of the nation's best comic strip repository: the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum at Ohio State University!
