Stampless cover from Falmouth to Stoneham Mass,USA, written June 14, 1860. The writer wanted it sent as a ship letter.
However, the hand written "Due 24" indicates it traveled on a packet ship paying the 24 cent rate from Great Britain to the US.
The Liverpool agent applied a small black"19/cents" indicating debit to the US and sent the letter via Cunard steamer "Europa"
which left Liverpool on June 16th 1860 and arrived in Boston on June 28, 1860.
