Item Description

This stamp is in unused condition, but has moderate gum crackling/craqueleur and has four separate hinge remnants. If those extra remnants are hiding something, I am not seeing it.

There are a few very small dark spots on the face of the stamp. The dark spot to the left of the "40 cts" is actually not dark at all. It is round and slightly raised above the surrounding paper. My scanner shows a shadow. The raised spot appears to have orange ink on one side, indicating it is probably a paper defect.

This set of stamps has wide vertical and horizontal lines in the stamp's paper. This faint pattern is not always easy to see when viewing the stamps. When I scan the stamps in this set, the lines are mostly replaced by a slightly uneven coloring of the paper in un-inked areas of the stamps. The lines at the top of this stamp are more noticeable than most of the others I have scanned.
