Signed. USPS First Day of Issue Ceremony Program for the dedication of Scott #2377 25c Francis D. Ouimet commemorative stamp, FDOI, June 13, 1988, Brookline, Massachusetts.  Ceremony held at The Country Club. "...soundly defeated his British competitors in the 1913 U.S. Open and thrust golf to the height of popularity...Ouimet's feat not only gave impetus to the game itself, but brought many teachers from abroad to take jobs in the new clubs, while some golfers, who had been amateurs, turned professional. Across America, golfers began to join clubs and cities began to build public courses."  This program was autographed by Tip O'Neill, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, and seven other participants. Program measures 9" x 6".
