Hello! This auction is for a SCARCE MINT NEVER HINGED Fine-Very Fine PRECANCELED Single of the 8c Einstein from the Prominent Americans Series, Scott #1285. It is untagged and PRECANCELED "DALLAS TEXAS", Precancel Stamp Society Style 71. The scan above is a stock scan but the Stamp that you will receive will be of the same superior quality. This stamp has no Faults or Flaws. Commonly found used, infrequently found with never hinged original gum. The Precancel Stamp Society Bureau Precancel Catalog, 5th Edition states: "Some collectors collect bureau precancels with gum. This is particularly challenging for issues before August 1967. Previously, sale of precancels to collectors was prohibited, and most dealers in bureaus soaked off the gum to avoid the appearance of violating postal regulations.
