Attractive copy of Scott 735, the 3c Byrd Expedition Souvenir Sheet issued for the National Stamp Exhibition of 1934. This issue continues the Farley era of interesting stuff. James A. Farley was appointed as Postmaster General by new President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was well known as a stamp collector. During the early years of the FDR administration, Farley issued a number of press sheets, souvenir sheets and special printings, reportedly to gain advantage with the new president.
