Item Description

With the postal rate change on January 1st, 1995 came a slew of new rate change stamps with the G designation. This example was for the First Class rate which changed from 29 cents to 32 cents. Two varieties were issued in sheet format. Scott 2881 has a black G while Scott 2882 has a red G. This auction is for Scott 2882, the 32 cent Red G First Class rate stamp. You will receive a mint never hinged plate block of four stamps with plate number S11111 on the lower right margin. Current Scott catalog values this plate block at $4.
