With the postal rate change on January 1st, 1995 came a slew of new rate change stamps with the G designation. This example was for the postcard rate which changed from 19 cents to 20 cents. Two varieties were issued. Scott 2879 has a black G while Scott 2880 has a red G. This auction is for Scott 2880, the 20 cent Red G Postcard rate stamp. You will receive a mint never hinged plate block of four with plate number S1111 on the lower right margin. Current Scott catalog on this plate block sits at $15. Is it missing from your collection?
