This is an auction for 2 Plate number strips of 5:  Scott #2115a Plate # 8 and the SCARCE 2115b Plate # 8, the Flag over Capitol Dome 22c Regular issue of 1985. Scott #2115a is the "regular" variety and has NARROW Block tagging (17.5mm x 21.5mm) and is from the "C" Press. Scott 2115b is the scarce Wide and Tall Block tagging variety (19.5mm x 23mm) and originates from the "D" Press.

The above scan under shortwave ultraviolet light highlights the tagging differences.

2022 Scott Catalog values for 2115a, #8  is $3.00 and for the 2115b in the grade of VF 80 is $125.00. The latter value is listed in italics reflecting infrequent sales.
