Here is a post office fresh example of the 17 cent precancelled Electric Auto coil, Scott 1906a, from the first release of the transportation coil series. You will receive the pictured mint never hinged plate number coil strip of three with plate number 5 on the center stamp. This is the Type B precancel. This strip has a gap in the precancel lines at the line position. Scott does not differentiate between the different precancel types on this issue other than a note that they exist. The PNC3 catalog list this plate number and precancel type at $29 for a PNC strip of five. Is it missing from your collection? Why not add it today?
