Item Description

Here is a post office fresh example of the 17 cent precanceled Electric Auto, Scott 1906a, from the transportation coil series. You will receive a mint never hinged plate number strip of five within a strip of ten with plate number 3. This issue has four different types of precancel that can be identified by the length of the word "PRESORTED". Type A is 11.3mm long, Type B is 12.8mm long, and Type C is either 13.4 or 14mm long. This is an example of Type A. This strip has a gap in the precancel lines five stamps to the right of the plate # stamp making it a gap five right (5R) gap variety.
