Item Description

Here is a post office fresh example of the precanceled 10.9 cent Hansom Cab, Scott 1904a, from the transportation coil series. This mint never hinged plate number coil strip of five has plate number 2. This strip has a gap in the precanceled lines at the one right position which is fairly rare compared to the line gap variety. The PNC3 catalog lists this variety at $65.
