Here is a nice example of the 10.9 cent Hansom Cab, Scott 1904, from the transportation coil series. This mint never hinged plate number strip of three has plate number 2. On approximately 10% of plate number 2 coils, there is a constant plate variety known as a "dropped transfer". This constant variety is easy to distinguish from normal varieties because the stamp image on the stamp to the left of the plate numbered stamp is slightly lower than all others in the strip. This variety catalogues for $75 as a strip of five. Add this variety to your collection today. There are multiple strips pictured, but ONLY ONE of the pictured strips is included with this auction.
