Item Description

Here is a post office fresh plate block of the 4 cent Carl Schurz stamp, Scott 1847, from the first issue of the Great Americans definitive series. You will receive a mint never hinged plate block of four with plate number 2 on the lower right margin.  As can be seen in the picture, this stamp design is shifted left which has brought the plate number onto the stamp itself (sought after by some specialists).  The pictured plate block is the plate block you will receive.  Good luck bidding and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
