Hello! This auction is for a PRECANCELED horizontal coil Pair of the Untagged, 5c Washington definitive, Scott # 1229. It is precanceled "PITTSBURGH PA", Precancel Stamp Society Style 71. It is PSE graded GEM 100, Mint original gum and NEVER HINGED. The certificate number is 01343412 and it is dated 3/14/2018.The 2022 Stamp Market Quarterly catalogue does not list values for stamps above Scott catalogue number 1207.The Precancel Stamp Society Catalog of United States Bureau Precancels, 5th edition, states "Some collectors collect bureau precancels with gum. This is particularly challenging for issues before August 1967. Previously, sale of precancels to collectors was prohibited, and most dealers in bureaus soaked off the gum to avoid the appearance of violating postal regulations. As a result, there can be a large premium for some full gum bureaus, especially for issues prior to 1967"Secure shipping is free.
