Item Description

Lot 17843b - Scarce MNH PNC strip of 5, plate #P2222. This PNC has the "Deep Valley" die cut that would normally be found on Scott 3874A. It has the larger black "2003", as well as back number 6460 in blue at the top of 3L. From a single issued roll of 10,000, that would make this the only "6460" in existence. With plate numbers every 27 stamps, this is also one of approximately 370 plate numbers. Truly scarce.

From pnc3.org website: _SCOTT 3874 VAR, (5¢) self-adhesive coil, untagged, die cut 10 vertically with the "deep valley" serpentine die cut of Scott 3974a (approx. 0.75 mm), but the larger black 2003 date of Scott 3874. A single roll of 10,000 was reported in April 2006 with plate number P2222.
