Item Description

NOTE: this has a thin at upper right (see 3rd photo) but excellent appearance and centering. Scarcer "S in Diamond" cancel.. I made a point of buying every Sarawak #1 used I found for a period of about 15 years when I was active in the Sarawak Specialists Society but have now decided to sell this collection. Most had thins, as the paper is very fibrous. The used issues are much harder to find than mint. Scott #1, catalog value $240.00.
