Item Description

This cover was mailed from San Francisco, California to New York, N.Y. in 1951 franked by a 6-cent DC-4 Skymaster Air Mail coil issue of 1948, Scott C37. A machine cancellation ties the stamp to the envelope.

The illustrated corner card depicts a book which, on its cover, reads"

'Books, Inc.
336 Sutter St.
San Francisco 8.'

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed with a diagonal tear. Some small top edge tears (see scans). No contents. Large, red circular receiving time stamp verso.

The cover in the scan is the one you will receive. Light lines in images are SCANNER ARTIFACT!
