Item Description

This windowed invoice cover was mailed at San Francisco, California in 1937 franked by a horizontal coil pair of 1-1/2-cent brown Warren G. Harding issues of 1930, Scott 686. The pair is tied to the envelope by a 'Buy U.S. Savings Bonds' slogan machine cancellation.

the Green Corner Card Reads:

"H. V. Carter Company, Inc.
Farm, Garden and Golf Course Equipment
52-56 Beale Street
San Francisco, Cal."

Company slogan on backflap, also in green, reads: "If it's Farm, Garden or Golf Course Equipment / we have it."

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. No contents or backstamps.
