RYUKYUS: MILITARY Christmas stationery; ROUGHLY 3.5" X 6" closed, the front page has Japanese Greetings and a depiction of a star over a TEMPLE, inside opens to four panels (see second scan - the scan is cut off at L due to the size of my scanner bed but NOTHING is missing), measure 7" x 12" open, reads Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Okinawa 1945, obviously the islands had been turned into a US protectorate only three months earlier, so this must have been printed LOCALLY, and was likely only used by military and their families, like a special Christmas card, but printed on paper instead of cardstock, if you want an early Okinawa / US item, this is for you, light toning at edges, very light wrinkle, but pretty much spotless, VF and scarce!
