THIRD ISSUE REVENUE STAMP: $2 Washington; (Scott #R145), used with 1872 ms cancel, herringbone cancel appears to NOT break paper, in at top, couple blunt perfs, the color is nice and the head is attractive, appears to have some gum, slight warped where old HR is affixed, Fine-VF centered, better than many . . .Cats $65 uncut. $25 cut. Normally a herringbone would be a cut cancel, but this one is so lightly struck it does not break the paper. Very attractive stamp.
