POSTAL CARDS: FIVE; all with coating; (Scott #UX12, UX14, UX19, UX21 & UY4), includes some late usages, best is UX12 (flts and one chip) with S L Drew stamp dealer ad over silver coating, 1901 usage, sort of a "will call" card, silver is a rare type of coating, lot also includes UY4m coated and cannibalized to use as postal card, gas machine dealer (Deats correspondence), I think this one is just silver-COLORED, not actual silver, but it is VF and unusual on a reply card, then a 1906 usage of UX14, reverse is coated with paper (?), some flts to this one and chipping, a totally commercial usage of this coating (it's the LR card in the first scan), the other two are later usages, #UX19 is coated front and back, used 1938 to Dr. Ullman, message thanks him for a USS Savanah launching cover, soft corners, still attractive, finally a UX21, a rare card to find with coating, used Toledo OH in 1946, clearly coated and post-WWII coated cards are quite unusual, some flaws but Fine-VF
