Very rare, intact full mint sheet of Danish “Julemaerkefonden”Christmas Seals, issued in 1958–over 60 years ago! Christmas seals actually originated in Denmark in 1904, as a way to raise funds to help children who were sick with Tuberculosis. Christmas seals appeared in the US a few years later, in 1907. This rare, complete 1958 Danish sheet has full original gum and all of the border material. It is particularly valuable in that there was some controversy over the use of Santa Clause, who one critic described as a “Christmas goblin.” I combine shipping on multiple orders made at the same time.
