Item Description
This is a Victoria newspaper wrapper imperforate cutout, a rare piece of history, clearly post marked January 30, 91 (1891). The SA on the postmark, most likely stands for Sandhurst or Salisbury West, in Melborne. The 4 most likely represents the postman's ID number, and the A most likely indicates that it was canceled in the afternoon. Here's just a tidbit of history. During the same month of this postmarked Victoria cutout, in January 1891, French troops occupied Nioro, West Sudan, where approximately 3000 troops were killed.
Talk about a super philatelic collector's item, this is it. Don't miss out..
