Documentary Revenue Usage: 40c issue of 1917, (#R237), perf initials, tied by Bold FAILURE Jan 10 1940 cnl to roughly 5 X 7.5" Hemphill, Noyes & Co document, folded once, usual staple holes, one corner has small crease which is reinforced by a sliver of archival tape, a Failure Delivery, unusual as a solo usage and unusual as a Failure, no state revenue was used due to its status as Failure, great revenue ephemera, FINE -VF Lot also includes another$2 doc usage, which appears to also be a Failure, natural corner cut, Fine.I combine shipping. Just ask.
