Item Description

This cover was mailed from Purfleet, Essex, England "via North Atlantic Air Mail Service" to Toronto, Canada in 1948 franked by a horizontal pair of 6d KGVI issues tied by a double circle date stamp.

Corner Card green illustrated ad reads: 'Thames Mills, Purfleet, Essex.'

Printed return address on backflap:

England.'

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. Two tiny (!) tears right edge mentioned only for accuracy. Small bottom right corner crease. No contents or backstamps.
