Item Description

Privately Perforated POSTAL CARDS (and one post card): FIVE ITEMS in all; majority are 1c Red, (Scott #UX24), all used, with added perforations at top or bottom, cards perfed in this manner were made into strips for easy usage, the three UX24s are all machine cancel incl Time-Cummins, etc, 1912-13, the first one (face not shown) is addressed to H Deats, two are PRR and one is the Peabody Coal Co of Chicago, make a nice display as one is perfed top and bottom, one at top only, one at bottom only, also #UX22 used 1913, perfed top and bottom, also a Pennsylvania Railroad usage, finally a modern post card, mailed with meter stamp in 1978, perfs run through the center of the card to detach half and use as mailing label, scholarly article request, highly unusual grouping, Fine-VF+ . . .
