Fascinating Coil Lot: Mostly Prexies & Mostly PRECANCELS; FOUR PAIRS (one is a STRIP), (Scott #840 22, 842 PLUS 3c VIOLET #721), BEST IS 1.5c PREXIE COIL w LOS ANGELES CALIF BUREAU PRECANCEL, overprint QUITE SHIFTED, TOWN is sharply to the R and the gap IS VISIBLE ALMOST TO THE MIDDLE of the L STAMP, FULL OG "MINT" NH, tiny spot, quite scarce and unusual, the other two Prexie coils are #840 with New York NY Precancel, GAP PAIR (LINE SHOWS AT R), no gum, also 3c #842 MINT STRIP OF THREE, left stamp has Brown paper ON REVERSE, I was told this was part of the leader, BUT I BELIEVE IT IS ACTUALLY A PORTION OF A PASTE-UP, perforations a bit weak, but no seps, OG, FINALLY A GREAT EARLIER BUREAU COIL, 3c STUART #721 used line pair w DETROIT PRECANCEL, GAP PAIR (w LINE in center), Intriguing & Powerful lot, FINE-VF
