Item Description

This unsevered 1c+1c black/buff Sherman Paid Reply Card issue of 1904, Scott UY4, was uprated by a one-cent blue green Benjamin Franklin issue of 1903, Scott 300, and mailed from Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Dusseldorf, Germany in 1905. The '300' is tied to the card, and the reply card itself is cancelled, by Pottstown duplexes with Station-2 barred, elliptical killers.

Dusseldorf double circle handstamp as an arrival marking.

Dated, hand-written message in Germany simply sends the writer's best wishes.

The reply portion was never used and remains attached.
