Portuguese india 480 horizontal pair on 1949 corner cover with letter enclosed --- ...Not delivered please return to: ...Hivram jivatram, vasco da gama, goa printed at upper left corner --- addressed to seth trikamji lalji., esqr., cocoanut merchants, vadgadi, madvi., bombay no. 3

Bombay-3 2 sep 49 (september 1949) black double circle dated postmark with indistinct circular cancel tying stamps to each other and to cover --- notes in non-latin script on back and in ink at upper right --- slight soiling --- vertical creases at left --- diagonal creases at upper right (from front) --- cover torn open and reduced at left (from front)

Enclosed letter is on matching professional stationery --- its heading is, shivram jivatram, merchants & agents, vasco da gama; branches: goa city (pangim) & margao. --- letter is written in non-latin script --- letter has trivial soiling;  dark strip across bottom or sides is the plastic holder in the scan
