Portugal – in a set of 4 pristine scott specialty albums w/slipcases – very attractive lot of four superb high quality scott specialty albums (retail value for albums alone would be in the region of $800!) in pristine condition allocated to portugal covering its stamps from the middle of the 19th century and all the way to 2019! The collection is primarily focused on the first half of the 20th century and the midcentury period featuring a number of better sets from the 30s and 40s. In several instances premium set may be incomplete, but surprisingly it’s not necessarily missing the high value stamp, but rather random value from the middle?! The collection runs through some 1,500 different issues into the late decades of the 20th century spilling over into the euro period, but the most recent decades are very sparsely populated. Similarly one of the volumes is allocated to portuguese possessions and that volume sparsely populated too. Overall, this is wonderful and very presentable lot that already has solid framework to build upon and once completed this set is sure to be a focal centerpiece on your philatelic shelf! Very fine, mint og, some nh (we only photographed the first volume running to 1990)
