This is a great book from Stanley Gibbons Publications with many color illustrations. Terms from "Abnormal" to "Toughra". I thought I knew what an "abnormal" stamp was. Here is the description the book has: "Stamps of Great Britain, 1862-80, printed from certain plates, or in certain colours from certain plates, are known as 'Abnormals' because they were not normally issued. Only five sheets of these stamps were prepared for registration at Somerset House." The previous page has a color illustration of this variety.
