SCARCE PEN-MAR THEATRE MAILER: Roughly 8" x 11.5" mailer from Pen-Mar Theatre in Cardiff Maryland (actually the border town of Delta-Cardiff which straddles Harford County Maryland and York County Pennsylvania), for October & November 1942 (one month per side), these mailers have the schedules for films shown for the two upcoming months and were placed in all boxes in Cardiff (they bear a Cardiff MD postal permit #1), aside from being a great piece of local history and having collectability as a commercial postal "cover", they also have many interesting films and stars mentioned: Bette Davis & Olivia de Haviland in In This Our Life, J Weissmuller & Maureen O'Sullivan in Tarzan's New York Adventure, also Roy Rogers, Lionel Barrymore, Kay Francis, Edward G Robinson, etc, etc, quite a few Westerns and War related, some toning, bit soiled, folded and a tad warped, still these mailers were used and this is about as nice as they come, very desirable in any condition, Fine.
