This well travelled World War 1 cover was mailed from Patterson, New Jersey to a Private in the '312th Infantry Co. M' at New York, franked by a 3-cent George Washington issue that was tied by a machine cancellation.

It seems to have gone from the 312th Infantry Co. M. to C.P.O Sick Tours (Oct 25th), to Ch 32 APO 762 ('Not There' Nov.19th), to CPO 902, with another Patterson, NJ address in manuscript. There are no backstamps to indicate where this cover ended up.

Slit open right, the backflap is sealed and intact. No contents.
