Item Description

Purchased at the Malaya Study Group Auction of October 2000, lot #112. The Narrow "N" variety occurs in setting II and is valued at about 4 times that of a normal stamp, per Robson Lowe literature. Difficult to find used; this has a nice Singapore cds. Scott #1, catalog value $60.00 for normal. Stanley Gibbons #1. 1889 "PAHANG" in roman capitals (TRIPLET) (16 x 2.75 mm) on Straits 2c rose wmk Crown CA (8,040 printed).
