Item Description
US: TWO New York City themed labels from the set of ten, each in a block w/ selvedge showing imprints, THESE LABELS WERE PRINTED BY AMERICAN BANK NOTE AND GIVEN AWAY AT THE 1939 WORLD'S FAIR with the purchase of EATON'S PAPER, most of the labels were broken up for sets, SELVEDGE WAS AT THAT TIME REMOVED, THESE BLOCKS SHOW A SERIAL NUMBER (S92273), since they have the same number I avoid calling this a "plate" number, ALSO THE IMPRINT "EATON'S" IS PRESENT OR PARTIALLY PRESENT, the two blocks are Central Park (BLOCK OF FOUR W TOP SELVEDGE) & George Washington Bridge (UR CORNER MARGIN BLOCK OF SIX), MOST UNUSUAL, THESE IMPRINT BLOCKS ARE QUITE SCARCE, OG NH, VF ---The george washington bridge was only one level in this time period, & it didn't have traffic jams . . .
