NEW ZEALAND Sc 529 MNH PLATE BLOCKS - ERROR - 2 Blocks - Flaw & Retouch - Mt. Ngauruhoe -

Row 9, No. 3 shows a flaw in the black plate at the base of the left leg of the "N" of "New". See the 1st detail scan

NZ Post repaired the plate by drilling out the fault and filled the cavity. While the repair was largely effective, it is still visible - see the second detail scan.
Listed here are both the original flawed plate in a plate block format and the retouched plate also in a plate block format. Very scarce.
