A friendly mail carrier serves his customer with a smile despite that annoying pain in his butt!This lively stamp was issued to celebrate the centennial of the National Association of Letter Carriers and was illustrated by legendary cartoonist Jack Davis! This cover is the only one so far that has received color hand-tinting by the cachetmaker.
The cachet was offset-printed, on a less-often seen blue envelope, in black and blue . . just like the letter carrier's backside will be when he gets home tonight!
